Tillie and Billy. Those were the days!

Author unknown

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows and valleys with lush, green grass.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. Those who are maimed are made whole again.

They play all day with each other. There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So. each day, they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up. The nose twitches! The ears are up! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group.

You have been seen and when you and your special friend meet. you take him or her in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

Billy was our first corgi and the beginning of our exciting venture into the wonderful world of showing dogs.

Billy crossed the Rainbow Bridge Nov. 13, 2004 the day after his 14th birthday.  Thank you Billy for bringing  such joy into our lives and for introducing us to the world of corgis!

Tillie was the dam of two Champion sons, Dandy (see more corgis) and Ronnie, (see boys) .  She was the queen of the corgis around here and she and Billy were great friends. I'm sure the two of them are having a great time chasing each other across the rainbow bridge!

Tillie crossed the Rainbow Bridge April 17, 2003 at 11 1/2 years "young"!

Springmills Garvins Kelly

July 3, 1996 - July 30, 2007

Kelly was our Ronnie's sister.

She lived with and was loved by our  good friends, John & Allison Vinyard.

She was the start of a great friendship for us.

She will be missed!

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.

Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

"Somewhere Over the Rainbow"

music by Harold Arlen and lyrics by E.Y. Harburg
